Summary: A legal battle over a sale agreement between Dhanraj N Kochar and L Dhandapani has led to the appointment of a person to help settle the argument by the Madras High Court. The court made this decision after many delays and because L Dhandapani couldn't show the original agreement.

The Dispute Begins

On December 16, 2019, Dhanraj N Kochar and L Dhandapani made a deal to sell something. Things went wrong, and they started arguing, so Dhanraj N Kochar asked the court for help to get one person to solve the problem, as stated in their agreement.

"If there are any arguments or disagreements, they should be solved by talking it out with help from someone neutral..."

Court Proceedings Kick Off

The case was first looked at in the Madras High Court on October 25, 2025. Justice N. Anand Venkatesh sent a notice to L Dhandapani, asking him to reply by November 24, 2025. L Dhandapani did not reply, which led to more action from the court.

Delays and New Developments

L Dhandapani got a new lawyer, Mr. U. Vasudevan, after the first lawyer quit. On January 9, 2026, the court told L Dhandapani to show the original agreement by January 12, 2026. He didn't do it, so the court moved ahead with final decisions.

Arbitrator Appointed

On January 20, 2026, Justice N. Anand Venkatesh chose Mr. M. Sricharan Rangarajan to be the person who will help solve the argument. This person will handle the disputes at the Madras High Court Arbitration Centre, following certain rules and costs.

"The person chosen is asked to look into the disagreements and make a decision by meeting at the 'Madras High Court Arbitration Centre'..."

Summary of the Verdict

The court decided to appoint someone neutral to help settle the disagreement between Dhanraj N Kochar and L Dhandapani. This person will work to make sure the original agreement is followed and respected.
