Summary: Khaja Bilal Ahmed faced a hiccup with his travel plans due to a bond condition. Justice Tirumala Devi Eada stepped in to clarify the situation, allowing him to proceed with his journey.
Khaja Bilal Ahmed found himself in a tough spot when the court set a rule that affected his travel plans. He had to promise to pay Rs. 2,00,000 if he didn't follow the rules, with two people vouching for him, and also pay Rs. 50,000 upfront. But when he went to the trial court with this promise, they wouldn't accept it.
"The court has not accepted the said personal bond and thus, the orders in the Criminal M.P. were not given effect to."
Justice Tirumala Devi Eada looked into the case and explained the bond requirements. She clarified that Ahmed only needed to promise to pay Rs. 2,00,000 if he broke the rules, and that the Rs. 50,000 was a separate payment.
"The petitioner shall execute a personal bond for Rs.2,00,000/- with two sureties for the like sum... and also deposit an amount of Rs.50,000/-."
Justice Eada found that the trial court was wrong to not accept the bond. She ordered that Ahmed's bond, along with the two people vouching for him and the deposit, should be accepted. This allowed him to travel to Saudi Arabia and the USA between November 10 and December 5, 2025.
"The trial court can as well accept the personal bond submitted by the petitioner along with two sureties for the like sum."
Khaja Bilal Ahmed's travel plans are back on track, thanks to the intervention of Justice Tirumala Devi Eada. The decision ensures that Ahmed can proceed with his travels as planned.
