Summary: The court dismissed a request by S Ganesh Reddy Chandra Shekar Reddy for compensation related to vehicle issues because the problem was settled outside of court.
S Ganesh Reddy Chandra Shekar Reddy, a driver from Mahabubnagar District, filed a request asking for compensation. He said the police didn't pay him Rs. 5,00,000 for rough treatment and embarrassment. He also wanted Rs. 8,000 per day for lost income after the police held onto his vehicle.
"The actions of The State of Telangana and others in not paying the compensation... are illegal, unfair, and a violation of Article 21 of the Constitution."
Earlier, the High Court ordered that Reddy's vehicle should be returned to him within seven days. However, the vehicle wasn't returned on time, causing Reddy to lose money.
Mr. Pulla Rao Yellanki was Reddy's lawyer, while Mr. R. Laxmikanth Reddy, the Assistant Government Lawyer, represented the other side, including the police and The State of Telangana.
Both sides agreed that the issue didn't need to be handled by the court anymore. The court, led by Justice N. Tukaramji, dismissed the request as "infructuous," meaning it was no longer relevant.
"Based on what both lawyers said, this request is dismissed as no longer necessary."
The court decided not to proceed with the case because the problem had already been sorted out without needing further court action.
