Summary: In a twisty tale of property rights and road widening, Myanapuri Srinivas has been asked to explain why he put up an iron container instead of building a house. The court wants answers, and it wants them fast.
Myanapuri Srinivas, a businessman from Jagtial, owns a piece of land measuring 93 square yards. He got permission to build a house with a ground floor and an upper floor. Everything seemed fine until someone tried to stop his construction.
Srinivas says that Jangili Mallikarjun, a lawyer, along with some helpers, interfered with his property. This led Srinivas to file a lawsuit to stop them from messing with his land. The case is still pending in the trial court.
Suddenly, a notice was sent to Srinivas asking him to attend a hearing. The notice seemed unfair because part of his land (15 square yards) was taken for road widening, leaving him with less than 75 square yards. According to the rules, he doesn't need permission to build on such a small plot.
"The notice is unfair and has no legal basis," said Srinivas.
The local government noticed that instead of building the approved structure, Srinivas put up an iron container and turned it into a chicken center. This was not part of the original plan, and it caught their attention.
Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy decided not to make a final ruling yet. Instead, he told Srinivas to explain himself within seven days. The local government will then review his explanation and make a decision within four weeks.
"This order is given without judging the main issues of the case," stated the court.
Srinivas has to gather all his documents and submit them quickly. The local government will then decide if his actions were justified. Until then, the case remains open, with no costs ordered.
