In a recent court decision, a legal appeal involving the Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Devasthanam was withdrawn. The case involved several people, including Suriti Kamesh and S Nagaraju, along with various state departments.
The appeal was against an earlier decision from a request to be included in the case (I.A.No.2 of 2023) in the case W.P.No.32845 of 2023. This request had been rejected on April 22, 2024. The person who wanted to join the original case as respondent No.4 asked for permission to file an appeal.
The case was presented before the respected Chief Justice Sri Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin. Mr. R. Ramanjaneyulu represented the person filing the appeal, while Mr. A. Phani Bhushan appeared for S Nagaraju. The government lawyer, Mr. Bhukya Mangilal Naik, represented The State of Telangana and The Commissioner of Endowments Department, and Mr. Ch. Satish Kumar represented The Executive Officer and Assistant Commissioner of Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Devasthanam.
On October 23, 2025, the lawyer for the person filing the appeal asked to withdraw the appeal and the related request (I.A.No.1 of 2024). The court agreed, which resulted in the dismissal of both the appeal and the request.
“Permission is allowed and the Writ Appeal and I.A.No.1 of 2024 are, accordingly, dismissed as withdrawn.”
The court decided that there would be no order for costs, and any other pending requests were closed.
The court allowed the appeal to be withdrawn, and no further action or costs were ordered.
