Tatikonda Abhishek, a 24-year-old businessman from Tandur, Vikarabad District, was involved in a legal case under the Telangana Excise Act, 1968. He was accused in case number 140 of 2025 by the Excise Police Station in Tandur for breaking the rules under Section 34(a) of the Act.
Judge K. Sujana listened to the request made by Abhishek's lawyer, Mr. Vadeendra Joshi, and the Additional Public Prosecutor, Mr. Syed Yasar Mamoon. The court decided not to go into the details of the case but noted that the punishment for the offense is less than seven years.
"This Court thinks it's right to tell the petitioner to meet with the Investigating Officer," stated Judge K. Sujana.
Abhishek must meet with the Investigating Officer by August 30, 2025, between 11:00 A.M. and 05:00 P.M. He needs to fully cooperate by providing necessary documents and information for the investigation.
The court highlighted the need to follow the rules from the Supreme Court case Arnesh Kumar v. State of Bihar. The Investigating Officer must follow Section 35 (3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to ensure proper procedure.
The court allowed Abhishek to stay out of jail as long as he helps with the investigation. All other related requests in the case were also closed.
