Quick Summary: Savithri's request for a separate land document hit a snag when her property was listed under her father and uncle's names. The court has now directed officials to sort this out in three months.

Savithri's Struggle for a Land Document

Savithri filed a request because she wanted a separate land document for her property. She got GR Nos. 853 and 858 from a settlement deed, but then found out the property was listed under her dad and uncle's names.

"Savithri had applied for a separate land document upon finding that the GR number was cancelled."

The Waiting Game

Her lawyer, Ms. R. Sangeetha, pointed out that the Village Administrative Officer's report was still pending. This report is crucial for the next steps.

Government's Response

The government lawyer, Mr. B. Saravanan, promised that the report would be ready in six weeks, and the local official (Tahsildar) would make a decision within three months.

"The Tahsildar would make a decision on Savithri's request for a separate land document within three months."

Court's Decision

Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy didn't take sides but told the Revenue Divisional Officer to make a decision within three months. Savithri and the current landholders should get a fair chance to present their case.

"Without expressing any opinion on the merits, this case is concluded by directing the Revenue Divisional Officer to make a decision."

The court has directed the officials to resolve the issue within three months, giving both Savithri and the current landholders a chance to present their arguments.
