In a recent court case, the Madras High Court dealt with a request from V. Pranav Sathya about his NEET UG 2020 score card. Judge G.K. Ilanthiraiyan was in charge of the case, which involved the National Testing Agency and other parties.

What the Petitioner Wanted

V. Pranav Sathya asked the court to tell the National Testing Agency to give him an official copy of his NEET UG 2020 score card. He needed this for a test required for foreign medical graduates in India.

Background: Studying Abroad

After not getting into a medical school in India with 279 NEET marks, Pranav studied medicine at OSH State University in Kyrgyzstan. To work as a doctor in India, he needed to pass a test and show his NEET score card.

The Score Card Problem

The National Testing Agency keeps NEET results for only 90 days after they are released. Pranav's score card was no longer available online. However, the agency confirmed that his score was saved in their database.

Court's Decision

Judge Ilanthiraiyan ordered the National Medical Commission to use the database details as Pranav's official score card. This allowed him to apply for the test he needed to take.

This decision helped Pranav move forward with his medical career in India. The court's ruling highlighted the importance of keeping records accessible for students studying abroad.
