Quick Summary: The Delhi High Court has refused to let Rajneesh Kumar Pandey, also known as Satyendra Dubey, go free while waiting for his trial. This is due to his involvement in a big job scam with fake railway job offers. The case involves accusations of lying, pretending to be someone else, and cheating, affecting many people looking for jobs.

The Case Begins: Accusations and Complaint

The case started with a complaint filed at the Economic Offences Wing, Mandir Marg, New Delhi. The person who complained, Mr. Subbuswami, a 78-year-old retired military person, said he met Sivaraman in Hyderabad. Sivaraman claimed he knew important people and offered jobs in the Railways for money.

The Scam Unfolds: Fake Job Offers

Subbuswami introduced three job seekers to Sivaraman, who then introduced them to Vikas Rana, pretending to be a railway officer. The job seekers paid ₹33,20,000 in January-February 2022 for these fake jobs. More victims followed, paying a total of ₹2,63,00,500.

Fake Training and Documents

Victims went through fake medical exams and document checks in Delhi, receiving fake training and certificates. The scam used fake appointment letters and ID cards with Northern Railways logos.

The Mastermind: Rajneesh Kumar Pandey

Rajneesh Kumar Pandey was arrested on April 5, 2023, in Muzaffurpur, Bihar. He is said to have planned the scam, receiving ₹80-90 lakh through bank transfers and ₹1-1.15 Crore in cash. Fake stamps and documents were found with him.

Legal Proceedings: Bail Denied

Even though his lawyer, Mr. Tanvir Ahmad Mir, argued that Pandey was a victim, the court found strong evidence against him. Justice Ajay Digpaul noted the serious nature of the crimes and the possible influence Pandey could have on witnesses.

Co-Accused Granted Bail

Co-accused Sivaraman was allowed to go free by the Supreme Court because of age and health problems. However, the court found Pandey’s role more important, involving lying and pretending to be someone else.

Court’s Decision: Bail Denied

Because of the serious nature of the crimes and the ongoing investigation, the court refused to let Pandey go free, stressing the possible impact of such frauds on society.

Justice Ajay Digpaul concluded that the trial is at a critical stage, and Pandey’s release could interfere with the proceedings.

This case shows the dangers of job scams and the need to be careful with job offers. The court's decision highlights how serious financial crimes are and their effect on society.
