Summary: On January 16, 2026, the Delhi High Court allowed Sagar to stay out of jail while waiting for his trial in a smack case. Judge Girish Kathpalia ruled that Sagar should not be kept in jail as long as he follows certain rules.

The Accusation: Smack Recovery

In this case, Sagar was linked to finding 102.56 grams of smack. The police claimed that three people, who had the smack, were supposed to deliver it to Sagar. This incident was connected to a police report filed at the Bhalswa Dairy police station.

Sagar's Defense: No Evidence

Sagar, with the help of his lawyer Mr. Siddharth, argued that there was no strong proof against him. He insisted that he was wrongly accused and had no connection with the arrested people. Sagar, who lives in Mathura, said he is ready to help with the investigation.

The State's Argument: Phone Calls

The State, represented by Mr. Amit Ahlawat and officers Deepak and Vishal, did not want Sagar to get bail. They mentioned 20 phone calls between Sagar and the other accused on the night the smack was found. However, the SIM card used for these calls was not under Sagar's name but his sister's, which made the evidence weaker.

The Court's Decision: Bail Granted

Judge Girish Kathpalia decided to let Sagar stay out of jail, saying there was no reason to keep him locked up. He was given bail on the condition that he pays a personal bond of Rs. 10,000 with a guarantee from someone else. Sagar must also be available for the investigation whenever he is officially asked to do so.

Conditions for Bail

Sagar must make sure he is available for the investigation when needed. His bail depends on his cooperation and following the rules set by the court.

This case shows how important evidence is and how the court carefully balances personal freedom with legal responsibility.
