Suphiyan Ali, accused of a strange robbery in Delhi, has been allowed to go free on bail. The case involved a robbery with a toy gun, and the court found several things that didn't add up in the story.
On November 28, 2024, in Chitranjan Park, Delhi, a jeweler was reportedly robbed at home by 3-4 people using a toy gun. They threatened the jeweler's wife and took her anklet before running away. The strange part? They left everything else behind.
The defense argued that the robbery story was hard to believe. Why would robbers take just one anklet? Plus, the complaint was filed two days late. The court noted that other accused people, Salim, Arman Ali, and Laiq Ahamad, were already allowed to go free on bail.
"It cannot be believed that 3-4 persons armed with a pistol would enter a jeweler's house and leave after taking only one anklet."
CCTV footage showed a different version of events. Judge Girish Kathpalia pointed out that the footage didn't match the police report's story. This was a key reason for allowing Suphiyan Ali to go free on bail.
On January 21, 2026, the court decided to allow Suphiyan Ali to go free on bail. He must promise to pay Rs.10,000 and have someone else promise the same amount if he doesn't show up to court.
"Considering the above circumstances, I do not find any reason to further deprive liberty to the accused/applicant."
While Suphiyan Ali has been allowed to go free on bail, many questions in the case remain unanswered. The trial will continue, and more information may eventually come out. For now, Suphiyan Ali is free on bail.
