Nisar Beg Ajij Beg's request to be released from jail while waiting for his trial was turned down by the Bombay High Court in Aurangabad. The court made this decision because of his past actions and history with the law.
Nisar Beg Ajij Beg asked to be let out on bail related to a police report from May 20, 2021. It was filed at Phulambri Police Station, Aurangabad, under sections dealing with cheating, insults, and threats. The case involved claims of fraud and threats.
At first, Nisar was temporarily allowed to stay out of jail after he promised to pay ₹12,00,000 to the court. However, he didn't pay the money, so his request to stay out of jail before his trial was denied on October 26, 2021.
"The applicant did not comply with the payment, leading to the rejection of his application."
On May 13, 2022, Nisar turned himself in and was allowed to stay out of jail by the Trial Court. However, Shaikh Zakir Shaikh Rashid, the person who reported him, opposed this, which led to the cancellation of his bail by the Additional Sessions Judge in Aurangabad because Nisar hid important information.
After not showing up in court, a warrant was issued for his arrest, and Nisar was taken into custody on November 10, 2025. His next request to be released from jail was denied on November 11, 2025, and he remains in jail.
Justice Sachin S. Deshmukh pointed out that Nisar misled the court about his legal situation, making his previous release from jail invalid. His history of not showing up and other criminal records, including a 2019 case, showed a pattern of avoiding the law.
"Fraud unravels everything, and any order obtained through such deliberate deception is a nullity."
The court found no good reason to let Nisar out of jail, citing his past behavior and the risk of him running away. His request for bail was denied to ensure the legal process is followed properly.
