Quick Summary: Sajan Kumar, a 19-year-old, gets bail in a case involving marijuana. The court found no strong evidence of a plan with another accused, Raja Kumar.

Arrest and Charges

Sajan Kumar was arrested on April 13, 2025, in New Delhi. The police found 12.235 kg of marijuana in his bag. He was charged under sections 20/25/29 of the NDPS Act. The arrest followed a raid on April 11-12, 2025, where another person, Raja Kumar, was caught with 23.900 kg of marijuana.

Defense Argument

Sajan's lawyer argued that the marijuana was planted. They said he had no prior record and was too young to be kept in jail. The defense also questioned what was found, claiming it wasn't marijuana.

"The accused has been in jail since 13.04.2025 and keeping him there serves no purpose."

Prosecution's Stand

The prosecution, led by Mr. Amit Ahlawat, opposed bail. They mentioned that Raja Kumar's bail was denied on January 20, 2026. They showed a video and money transactions to prove a plan. However, the video was just a clip of bushes and not linked to Sajan.

Court's Decision

Judge Girish Kathpalia noted that the marijuana found with Sajan wasn't a large amount. The video evidence was weak, and the money involved was only Rs. 20,000, not enough to prove a drug deal. The court emphasized Sajan's young age and clean record.

"There is no chance of the accused threatening anyone."

Bail Conditions

Sajan was granted bail on January 22, 2026, with a bond of Rs. 10,000 and one guarantee. The court ordered that nothing in the bail order should affect the final trial.

This decision shows the importance of strong evidence in drug cases and considers the accused's age and background.
