Saadia Fatima, Ahmed Ahsan Arshad, Rimsha Syed Jaweed, and Samala Shiva Jyothi Missed the Deadline

Saadia Fatima, Ahmed Ahsan Arshad, Rimsha Syed Jaweed, and Samala Shiva Jyothi, all students, filed a request. They wanted to be allowed to sign up late for the MBBS/BDS courses for the school year 2025-2026. Their lawyer, Mr. L. Ram Singh, explained that the students missed the sign-up deadline by accident.

"The students couldn't sign up for admission under Management Quota 'B' and 'C' categories because of a mistake."

Kaloji Nararayana Rao University of Health Sciences Follows Its Timetable

Kaloji Nararayana Rao University of Health Sciences, represented by Mr. T. Sharath, stuck to their schedule. They said the sign-up deadline had passed and the selection process had already started on September 15, 2025. The university couldn't extend the deadline because of a Supreme Court decision on September 1, 2025, about local students.

"The University cannot accept the students' applications... It would be pointless."

Court's Decision: Deadlines Are Important

The court, led by Chief Justice Mr. Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin, agreed with the university. They pointed out the importance of keeping to the set timelines for admissions. The court found no reason to allow late sign-ups.

"The last dates for application or selection are very important."

A Small Chance?

The students' lawyer asked if they could apply if the sign-up dates were extended. The court said that if the dates were extended in the future, the students could apply then.

"The students can apply if the dates are extended."

In the end, the court dismissed the request, highlighting the need to respect deadlines in the admission process.
