Summary: KRN and Co. wanted to join a bidding process but couldn't get the necessary approvals. The court turned down their request but allowed them to try again.
KRN and Co., a company known for building and road construction, wanted to participate in a bidding process announced by The Superintending Engineer (Highways) in Trichy. They needed approvals to prove their equipment and work site were up to standard.
KRN and Co. applied to the Divisional Engineer for these approvals on September 22, 2025. Despite several requests, they didn't get them. This led them to file a request asking the court to either make the engineer give them the approvals or let them join the bidding process without them.
Justice M. Dhandapani heard the case. The lawyer for The Superintending Engineer informed the court that the Divisional Engineer had already turned down KRN and Co.'s request on October 3, 2025.
"The second respondent has passed an order rejecting the petitioner's request."
The court turned down the request but gave KRN and Co. the option to challenge the rejection legally. This means they can still fight for their chance to participate in the bidding process.
"This request is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the rejection order."
So, while KRN and Co. didn't get what they wanted this time, they have another chance to argue their case.
