In a recent court decision, Judge B. Vijaysen Reddy addressed a land disagreement in Jangaon, stopping any building on the disputed property.
Methuku Yadagiri Reddy, an 88-year-old retired teacher, filed a complaint against the State of Telangana and others. He claimed that his property, located at H.No.357/A in Jangaon, was being taken over by two businessmen, Jetta Harinath and Bedide Yadagiri.
The court learned from Mr. Putta Krishna Reddy, who speaks for the Jangaon Municipality, that a notice to explain had been issued on October 24, 2025. This notice was meant to address the claims of land being taken, but the investigation was still ongoing.
"Even though a notice to explain was issued, immediate action is not being taken," said Mr. C.M.R. Velu, Methuku Yadagiri Reddy's lawyer.
Judge B. Vijaysen Reddy ordered the Jangaon Municipality to speed up the investigation. They must listen to both Methuku Yadagiri Reddy and the other parties involved and make a decision within four weeks.
"While waiting for the investigation to finish, no building activity is to be done by Jetta Harinath and Bedide Yadagiri," the court ordered.
The court's decision is temporary and does not address the main issues of the case. If Jetta Harinath and Bedide Yadagiri are unhappy with the order, they can ask the court to change it.
The court has stopped any building on the land until the investigation is completed and a final decision is made.
