In a recent court decision, Judge K. Lakshman ruled in favor of Premalatha Pendyala, allowing her to continue building on her property in Budwel Village, Rajendranagar Mandal. This decision follows a series of complaints and legal challenges by some neighbors.
Premalatha Pendyala, who brought the case to court, owns a property at House No. 1-8-39/1, which is 625 square yards in size. She bought this land with an official sale document back in 1980. Recently, she decided to rebuild her house and got permission on November 4, 2023, to build a structure with two basements, a ground floor, and five upper floors.
"I'm building strictly according to the permit," she stated.
Neighbors, including Abdul Lateef Osman and others, claimed Premalatha was building on their land. They complained to the local authorities, which led to interruptions in her construction work.
The local government officer and the area surveyor got involved after these complaints. They issued a notice for a land survey on August 8, 2025, to check if there was any illegal building on someone else's land.
"We need a survey to ensure no encroachment," the neighbors argued.
Judge K. Lakshman decided that the involvement by the authorities was not justified. He told them not to interfere with Premalatha's construction as long as she followed the building permit.
The court stated that if Premalatha does not follow the permit, the Deputy Commissioner of Rajendranagar can take legal action. For now, Premalatha is allowed to continue her construction without any issues.
This decision emphasizes the importance of following official rules and respecting property rights, ensuring fairness for everyone involved.
