Quick Summary: The court has told the GHMC to deal with a complaint about illegal buildings in Hyderabad. The person who complained has been waiting for something to be done since 2010.

Person’s Complaint

Kurapati Narender Secunderabad, through someone acting on his behalf, complained about illegal buildings. He said that two people, B Chandrasekhar and Sri Chaitanya Techno Institute, were behind these illegal buildings.

GHMC’s Job

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), represented by its top officials, was accused of not doing anything about the complaint. Kurapati Narender Secunderabad had sent a request on April 28, 2010, which was supposedly ignored.

Court’s Order

Judge Suddala Chalapathi Rao was in charge of the case. The court told the GHMC to look into Kurapati Narender Secunderabad's request:

"The respondent Nos.1 and 2 shall pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner."

The GHMC has to follow the rules under the GHMC Act, 1955, and inform everyone involved within four weeks.

Summary

The court stressed that the GHMC needs to act quickly. There were no penalties given to any party, and any pending requests were closed.
