In a recent decision, Judge Tirumala Devi Eada looked at a request related to a criminal case in Telangana. The person who filed the request, Sri Mallesh Peesara, wanted to stop the legal process against him, but the court decided differently.
The case involves Sri Mallesh Peesara, who owns a business in Telangana, and was accused in Crime No.143 of 2025. The accusations include breaking the rules under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
Sri Mallesh wanted the court to stop the legal process against him. His lawyer, Sri Gujjula Madhusudan, argued that the investigation should be done properly by sending a notice under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
Judge Tirumala Devi Eada decided not to stop the legal process. Instead, she told Sri Mallesh Peesara to work with the police investigation. He must meet with the Investigating Officer by October 17, 2025, and follow the rules set by the Supreme Court in an earlier case.
"The petitioner shall provide his side of the story and work with the Investigating Officer whenever needed."
Sri Mallesh must give all necessary documents and information for the investigation. The police are told to finish the investigation according to the law.
The court decided that the investigation should continue, and Sri Mallesh Peesara has to cooperate with the police to ensure everything is done fairly and correctly.
