Quick Summary: The Madras High Court rejected J. Dinakaran's attempt to challenge a property sale order. Judge P.B. Balaji decided that Dinakaran, who bought the property while a lawsuit was still ongoing, couldn't stop the sale from happening.
Back in December 2005, P. Gowri Ammal made a deal to buy a property. Things got complicated, and a lawsuit was filed in 2006 to make sure the sale happened. By February 21, 2011, the court decided in favor of Gowri Ammal, allowing the sale to go through.
J. Dinakaran bought the property on October 17, 2008, while the lawsuit was still happening. He tried to get involved in the case to change the court's decision but was denied. His attempts to appeal to higher courts, including the Supreme Court, didn't work out.
After the court's decision, Gowri Ammal moved forward to complete the sale, which was finalized. Dinakaran tried to stop the sale by filing a request, but the court turned down his application.
Judge P.B. Balaji pointed out that Dinakaran bought the property while the lawsuit was still active, which meant he couldn't interfere with the sale proceedings. The court also suggested there might have been some secret agreement between Dinakaran and the original property owner, weakening his case.
"The petitioner is a lis pendens purchaser and is bound by the decree," stated Judge Balaji.
On December 19, 2025, the court rejected Dinakaran's request, confirming that he had no right to block the sale. The court stressed that Dinakaran's request wasn't valid under the law.
