Here's a straightforward wrap-up of a recent Delhi High Court decision. Pritpal Sharma wanted a water connection to his home in Aya Nagar, New Delhi, and the court just gave the green light!

The Water Connection Request

Pritpal Sharma filed a request on December 11, 2025, asking for a water connection from the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to his home at 1031/D-2, Ground Floor, Aya Nagar. The main issue? He needed a pipeline connection from the nearest tube well.

DJB's Initial Stand

The DJB initially had no problem with Pritpal Sharma setting up a pipeline to the tube well. His lawyer argued that the pipeline was already there, and all they needed was the connection.

"A pipeline is already installed, and only a connection needs to be given to the petitioner."

Court's Decision

On December 11, 2025, Justice Mini Pushkarna heard the case. The DJB agreed that other residents had already connected to the tube well and said Pritpal Sharma could do the same. However, Pritpal requested DJB's help with the installation.

Supervised Installation

The court ordered that the connection should be made on December 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with DJB's supervision. Atul Anand, a DJB official, was assigned to oversee the process.

"The water connection shall be properly installed under the supervision of the mentioned official."

Future Precautions

If there's any disruption, Pritpal Sharma can contact Atul Anand for help. If DJB isn't responsible for any future issues, Pritpal Sharma must handle it himself.

Pritpal Sharma is getting his water connection, thanks to a little help from the court.
