Summary: On November 17, 2025, the Madras High Court told the District Revenue Officer of Dharmapuri to handle Rajendran G.'s request about fixing land records within 12 weeks.

The Case of Rajendran vs. District Collector

Rajendran G., who lives in Dharmapuri District, asked the Madras High Court to make the officials take action on his issue. He wanted them to check some land records.

Why the Petition?

Rajendran had earlier sent a request on July 28, 2025. He asked for a detailed investigation and corrections in the land records for his property in Mookanur Village, Dharmapuri District. He thought there were mistakes in the records that needed to be fixed.

The Court's Decision

Justice N. Anand Venkatesh looked at the case. The court decided that the District Revenue Officer should examine Rajendran's request. They need to do this fairly and by following the rules. Also, they should let everyone involved have their say.

"A direction is given to the 2nd respondent to deal with the representation dated 28.07.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law," said Justice N. Anand Venkatesh.

What's Next?

The court ordered that the investigation and any needed corrections should be done within 12 weeks from when they get the court order. This means Rajendran should hear back by early 2026.

No Extra Costs

The court stated that there would be no extra costs for this process, ensuring that Rajendran doesn't have to pay more than necessary.
