The Kerala High Court has made a decision about how to manage the crowds at the famous Guruvayoor Sree Krishna Temple. The decision, made on November 21, 2025, by Judges Raja Vijayaraghavan V and K. V. Jayakumar, focuses on making the visit better for people coming to the temple.
Visitors like P. N. Radhakrishnan and Sumesh C. M. brought the issue to court, pointing out the problems caused by long waiting times. The current system, where people stand in line for hours, especially during festivals like Ekadashi, is tough for the elderly and people with disabilities.

The court highlighted the need for a more organized line system. They suggested:
The court also emphasized the importance of giving special attention to certain groups:
The court's decision follows complaints about how the current system doesn't work well. During the COVID-19 pandemic, a virtual line system was used but later removed, leading to dissatisfaction among visitors.
"The large number of people standing in the long line can easily be managed by a scientific and systematic line system."
The Guruvayoor Devaswom Managing Committee is responsible for making these changes happen. They must also create a permanent committee to work with different departments for better crowd management.
The court's decision is a big step towards making sure that every visitor's trip to the Guruvayoor Temple is peaceful and spiritually fulfilling.
