The High Court of Madras has ordered the Tiruppur Central Police to finish their investigation in an ongoing case within eight weeks. This decision was made after R. Parthiban, who wanted the case to be resolved, asked the court for help.
R. Parthiban, who asked for the court's help, did so because the investigation in Crime No.176 of 2025 was taking too long without any final report. His lawyer, Mr. G. Peranban, argued that the delay was unfair since the complaint had been filed months ago.
"The investigation in this case is still pending and no final report has been filed till date."
The Government Advocate, Mr. R. Vinothraja, told the court that the investigation is moving forward. He promised that the police would submit the final report within eight weeks, which gave some hope to those waiting for the case to be solved.
Justice N. Sathish Kumar was in charge of the case. After listening to both sides, he instructed the Tiruppur Central Police to finish their investigation and submit the final report within the given time. The judge stressed the importance of keeping the person who filed the complaint updated on the progress.
"The Inspector of Police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report... within a period of eight weeks."
With these instructions, the court closed the petition, setting a clear deadline for the investigation. This decision aims to make sure that justice is not delayed any longer for those involved in the case.
