Summary: Ravi@Rinku, who is involved in a criminal case, gets permission to attend his brother-in-law's wedding for a few hours while being watched by the police.

What’s the Case About?

On February 2, 2026, the Delhi High Court, with Judge Girish Kathpalia in charge, listened to the request for temporary release from jail for Ravi@Rinku. He’s involved in a case at the Gokulpuri police station under various rules, including those related to weapons.

Why the Bail Request?

Ravi@Rinku’s lawyer, Mr. Gaurav Dalal, asked for temporary release so Ravi could go to his wife's brother's wedding on February 4, 2026. The wedding is scheduled for 6:00 PM at Chaudhary Sarpanch Farm, 100 Foota Road, Sehatpur, Faridabad.

The State’s Objection

The State, represented by Mr. Amit Ahlawat, was against letting him out because of the seriousness of the crime. However, both sides agreed that Ravi could go to the wedding while being watched by the police.

"Ravi@Rinku may be taken in custody to the venue of marriage of his wife’s brother, so that he may attend the marriage."

The Court’s Decision

Judge Kathpalia decided that Ravi@Rinku could go to the wedding from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on February 4, 2026, while being closely watched by the 3rd Battalion police. After the event, he must go back to jail.

"The said timings shall be strictly adhered to and after attending marriage, Ravi@Rinku shall be taken back to jail."

What Happens Next?

A copy of the order was sent to the Deputy Commissioner of Police and the Jail Superintendent to make sure the plan is followed. This allows Ravi@Rinku to join his family’s celebration while keeping security in check.
