Summary: Four farmers from Warangal, Telangana, were denied bail in advance in a case where they were accused of attacking someone with iron rods. The court found enough evidence against them to turn down their request.
On September 18, 2025, a complaint was filed against five people in Warangal, including the accused Maisi Sudhakar, Bongari Raju, Orsu Ramesh, and Orsu Raju. The person who complained said these individuals, along with another person, A.1, broke into his house. They allegedly used iron rods to attack him and his family, causing injuries.
The case was heard by Judge K. Sujana. Maisi Sudhakar, Bongari Raju, Orsu Ramesh, and Orsu Raju asked for bail in advance under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. Their lawyer argued that there were no specific accusations against them and that the main accused, A.1, had already been given regular bail.
"A.1 was already arrested and let go on regular bail and there are no specific accusations against these accused," argued the defense.
The prosecution, represented by Sri D. Arun Kumar, opposed the bail. They pointed out that the person who complained and his family had suffered serious injuries. The charges against Maisi Sudhakar, Bongari Raju, Orsu Ramesh, and Orsu Raju included serious crimes under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, which could lead to more than seven years in prison.
"The person who complained suffered serious injuries," the prosecutor emphasized, urging the court to reject the bail request.
After looking at the arguments and evidence, Judge K. Sujana decided not to grant bail. The court noted that there were clear accusations and evidence against Maisi Sudhakar, Bongari Raju, Orsu Ramesh, and Orsu Raju, and the seriousness of the injuries was enough to reject their request.
"This Court is not inclined to grant bail to the accused," Judge K. Sujana concluded.
The decision shows the court's firm stance on serious assault cases, especially when there is strong evidence. Maisi Sudhakar, Bongari Raju, Orsu Ramesh, and Orsu Raju remain in custody as the case continues.
