Quick Summary: Mr. Rakesh Maheshwari's vehicle was taken by the police over drug allegations. He claims he is innocent and has been allowed to keep his vehicle temporarily by the court.

The Vehicle Seizure Incident

Mr. Rakesh Maheshwari, the owner of ONEDRIVE INDIA, got into a legal issue when his car, a BYD Doctor Black with the registration number TS-09UD-8424, was taken by the authorities. They claimed the car was used to carry illegal drugs, including Alprazolam tablets and Codinet syrup.

"The vehicle was taken on 30.12.2024 because of claims it was used for transporting illegal drugs."

The Ownership Dispute

Rakesh Maheshwari argued that he didn't know about any illegal activities. He had rented out the car to a company called Gondaylala Enterprises for business purposes. He showed the registration certificate to prove he owned the car and insisted he didn't know about its misuse.

The Legal Proceedings

Judge K. Lakshman was in charge of the case. The Drug Disposal Committee initially refused Rakesh's request to return the vehicle, saying they were still working on taking it permanently and waiting for lab test results.

"The process to take the vehicle permanently is ongoing, and they are waiting for lab test results."

Court's Decision

Even though the process was still ongoing, the court decided in favor of Rakesh Maheshwari. Referring to similar past cases, Judge K. Lakshman told the authorities to give Rakesh temporary custody of the car. However, he must follow certain rules, like providing a personal guarantee and not making changes to the vehicle.

"The person asking for the car is allowed to have temporary custody of it."

Conditions for Release

Rakesh must submit a personal guarantee of Rs. 2,00,000 and make sure the vehicle stays the same. He also needs to hand over the original registration certificate and promise to show the vehicle when asked.

Summary of Verdict

The court allowed Rakesh Maheshwari to keep his vehicle temporarily, but he must follow specific conditions. The case is still ongoing as the authorities continue their investigation.
