Summary: Four people from Korutla, Telangana, decided to drop their case against local officials about changes in property records. The court allowed them to do this, giving them the chance to try other ways to solve their problem.

The Petitioners' Complaint

The people who brought the case, Smt T Shoba Gummula Manjula, T Laxmi, Thoparapu Narsu, and the minor Thoparapu Mahipal, were upset with the Korutla Municipality. They said the municipality was trying to change the ownership details of their homes without following the right steps. These homes are in Korutla town, and the petitioners felt this action was unfair and against their rights.

"The action of the respondent No.2...is nothing but arbitrary, illegal, null and void and violative of principles of natural justice."

Legal Grounds

The petitioners thought the municipality's actions went against several basic rights, specifically Articles 14, 19, and 21 of the Constitution. They also mentioned that the correct procedures, according to the Assessment Book Rules of 1966, were not followed. They had even sent a complaint on January 3, 2015, which was ignored.

Court's Response

When the case was heard, the petitioners' lawyer asked the court to let them drop the case. They wanted the freedom to try other legal paths. Justice Laxmi Narayana Alishetty agreed to this request.

"Permission is given."

Conclusion of the Case

The case was officially dropped, and the petitioners were allowed to look into other legal options. There were no costs ordered against them, and any remaining related requests were closed.

Justice Laxmi Narayana Alishetty finished the session on August 22, 2025. This decision allows the petitioners to take further steps if they choose to do so.
