Quick Summary: In a recent decision by Judge N. Tukaramji, a request to look into a delayed investigation was turned down due to not having enough evidence. The complainants, Nagani Nagaraju and Nagani Laxmi, wanted action taken because they felt the police were not doing their job.

Petitioners Want Action

Nagani Nagaraju and Nagani Laxmi filed a request under Article 226 of the Indian Constitution. They said the police officers, Mr. Rajashekar Reddy, Mr. Kishore, and Mr. Ashok Kumar, did not properly look into Case No. 182/2016. This case was reported on May 4, 2016, at Medchal Police Station.

"The way the Respondents are not investigating...is wrong and unfair," the petitioners said.

The State's Reply

The State, represented by Mr. R. Laxmikanth Reddy, disagreed with the petitioners. They said a complete investigation was done, and a report was given on September 11, 2017. This report said there wasn't enough evidence, so no more action was needed.

Court's Decision

Judge N. Tukaramji looked over the case and decided that the petitioners' worries had already been dealt with by the final report. So, the request was dismissed as "infructuous," which means it was no longer necessary.

"The complaint raised...has been mostly dealt with," said Judge Tukaramji.

Future Options for Petitioners

Even though the request was turned down, the court said that the petitioners could try other legal options if they wanted. This means they can look into different legal ways if they still feel they haven't gotten justice.

"The petitioners are free to use any other legal options available to them."

Summary of Verdict

The court dismissed the petition because there was not enough evidence to support the claims. The petitioners can still explore other legal avenues if they choose to do so.
