Summary: A legal request made by two people was rejected because the police had already completed their investigation and submitted a final report. The case was about a delay in filing charges for a police complaint from 2016.

Petitioners Demand Action on Police Complaint

P V Jagannath and Uady Rawat were upset because they felt the police weren't doing their job. They filed a legal request asking the court to make the police file charges for a complaint from May 2016. They argued it was unfair and against the rules.

"…declaring the action of the 4th Respondent in not filing the Charge Sheet... is arbitrary bad and illegal..."

Police Say They Did Their Job

The police, represented by Mr. R. Laxmikanth Reddy, argued that they had already looked into the matter and submitted a final report on December 31, 2018. They believed this made the request unnecessary.

Judge's Decision

Justice N. Tukaramji reviewed everything and decided that since the police had submitted the report, there was no need for the request anymore. The case was dismissed as "unnecessary," which means it was no longer needed.

"…the cause raised in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication..."

What's Next for the Petitioners?

Even though the request was dismissed, the judge mentioned that the petitioners could still seek other legal solutions if they wanted. This means they have the option to take different legal actions if needed.
