A recent court ruling turned down a request for police protection for some land plots in Hyderabad. The court decided that the problem had already been dealt with, and there wasn't any proof to back up the claim.
Smt. Immadi Naga Prasana Lakshmi and C.M. Ramchandra Reddy filed a request with the court. They wanted the police to protect their plots in Nanakramguda Village, Hyderabad. They said the local police didn't answer their request from November 11, 2016.
The people they were complaining about included the State of Telangana, represented by its top Home Department official, and various police officials like The Director General of Police, The Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, and The Officer in Charge of Gachibowli Police Station. The petitioners said these officials ignored their request for help about their land.
The petitioners' lawyer, Mr. Palle Nageshwar Rao, argued that the police didn't do anything about their request. They wanted the court to tell the police to protect their land plots.
"We need protection for our registered plots," argued the petitioners.
The government's lawyer, Mr. R. Laxmikanth Reddy, said that the police had already looked into the problem. A crime report was made, but the investigation found no proof of anything wrong.
Judge N. Tukaramji dismissed the request as "unnecessary." The court noted that the problem had been solved with no evidence found, so no further action was needed.
"The issue has already been resolved," concluded Judge N. Tukaramji.
The court decided that since there was no proof to support the claim, the request for police protection was not needed. There will be no extra costs for the people involved in this case.
