Summary: After years of courtroom drama, Yogendra and Prema Bhoir's marriage ends in divorce. The court's decision comes after accusations of mistreatment, a second marriage, and many legal battles.

The Beginning of the End

Yogendra Lahu Bhoir and Prema Yogendra Bhoir got married on May 10, 2006. Their son, Harsh, was born in 2007. However, by 2008, their relationship began to fall apart. In 2012, Prema left their home, and they have lived separately since.

A Decade of Legal Battles

From 2013, the couple was involved in many legal proceedings:

  • Yogendra asked for a divorce in 2013.
  • Prema wanted to restore their marital relationship in 2014.
  • Several cases followed, including support payments, domestic violence, and even having two marriages at once.

Court's Findings

Judge Gautam A. Ankhad pointed out that the marriage was beyond repair. Despite Yogendra’s claims of mistreatment, the trial court initially rejected his request. However, the appeal court found that ongoing separation and multiple legal battles indicated mistreatment.

"A marriage which has broken down irretrievably, in our opinion, spells cruelty to both the parties."

The Bigamy Bombshell

Prema accused Yogendra of marrying someone else during their marriage. Though he denied it, a police report confirmed he lived with another woman, Jayshree, and their daughter. This false statement led to more legal problems for Yogendra.

Final Settlement

The court ended the marriage and ordered Yogendra to:

  • Transfer ownership of two properties to Prema.
  • Give 80 grams of gold as part of Prema's property.
  • Pay ₹25,00,000 as a complete and final settlement.

The court decided that forcing the couple to stay married would only make them suffer more. This judgment shows how long separations and unresolved issues can lead to a legal acknowledgment that a marriage has ended.
