Daniel and Samuel Logistics didn't give up and challenged the decision in the Principal Sessions Court, Thoothukudi. They also asked to pause the sentence. The Appellate Court agreed to pause the sentence but required them to pay 20% of the compensation, which was Rs. 6,06,000, within one month.
Daniel and Samuel Logistics went further, filing another request in the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court. On May 18, 2023, Judge L. Victoria Gowri reduced the compensation to Rs. 4,00,000. However, Daniel and Samuel Logistics struggled to pay this amount, leading to the cancellation of their pause on October 9, 2025.

On December 19, 2025, Judge L. Victoria Gowri considered Daniel and Samuel Logistics' request. They managed to gather the required amount and asked for permission to deposit it in the Trial Court. The court allowed this, canceling the previous order, provided they deposit Rs. 4,00,000 within a week.

Daniel and Samuel Logistics have been given one last chance to pay Rs. 4,00,000 within a week. If they succeed, the previous ruling will be canceled. If they fail, the original decision will be enforced again.
