Two petitioners, M/S AKR Construction Limited and P V Srikanth Reddy, asked the court to tell the Debts Recovery Tribunal-II (DRT-II) in Hyderabad to look at their case. The court, with Justices Moushumi Bhattacharya and Gadi Praveen Kumar, allowed them to submit a new request. Here’s what happened.
M/S AKR Construction Limited and P V Srikanth Reddy, the people who filed the case, wanted the court to tell DRT-II to work on their case numbered 193 of 2024. They thought it was taking too long.
"The only request of the petitioners is for a direction to the Debts Recovery Tribunal-II, Hyderabad (DRT-II), to handle Securitisation Application No.193 of 2024 filed by the petitioners."
The petitioners' lawyer, Mrs. Almas Mohammed, didn’t explain why DRT-II was slow. Without these details, the court couldn't directly address the delay.
Justice Moushumi Bhattacharya, speaking for the court, decided to end the current case. The petitioners were allowed to file a new request with DRT-II if they needed to.
"W.P.No.31854 of 2025, along with all related applications, is ended, giving the petitioners permission to file a suitable application before the DRT-II."
The court finished the case without making anyone pay any costs.
This case shows how important it is to have detailed information when asking the court for help. M/S AKR Construction Limited and P V Srikanth Reddy now have another chance to get DRT-II to take action.
