Summary: Arvind Singh has been trying to get an electricity connection at his home in Delhi since 2018. After facing objections from his brothers, he finally got a court order allowing him to apply again without needing their permission.

Arvind Singh's Struggle for Electricity

Arvind Singh, who lives in Khichripur, Patparganj, Delhi, asked the court for help to get an electricity meter installed at his home. His brothers, living on the ground floor, have been stopping him since 2018.

The 2018 Setback

In 2018, Arvind applied for an electricity connection, but BSES Yamuna Power Limited turned him down because his brothers objected and there were no basic things like a kitchen and bathroom on the first floor.

"There was no kitchen and washroom available... except a single room," stated the deficiency letter dated June 12, 2018.

Changes at Home

Arvind explained that the first floor now has a kitchen and bathroom. He lives there with his family, making it a proper place to live. This change was important for his case.

Fresh Application Required

The court, led by Judge Mini Pushkarna, decided that Arvind must submit a new application to BSES Yamuna Power within two weeks. The company is told not to ask for any permission letter from his brothers this time.

Conditions for Connection

Arvind must follow all the rules, pay any outstanding charges, and make a security deposit of Rs. 25,000. The electricity company can cut off the service if any conditions are not met.

"The petitioner will comply with all the Codal and commercial formalities," the court ordered.

No Special Rights Granted

The court made it clear that this decision doesn't give Arvind any special ownership rights. The case is only about getting an electricity connection and doesn't affect any other legal matters.

Final Orders

The court's decision on December 4, 2025, allows Arvind to move forward without further delays. The next hearing date, January 15, 2026, was canceled, marking a hopeful end to his long wait for electricity.
