Quick Summary: Dinesh Jaypal Wadkar, a student, filed a request because his application for MBBS counselling was turned down due to a missing date of birth on his certificate. The court told Kaloji Nararayana Rao University of Health Sciences to take another look at his case within two days.

The Application Mishap

Dinesh, an 18-year-old student from Maharashtra, applied for MBBS counselling under the management quota. However, his application was marked defective on September 19, 2025, because his SSC certificate didn't have his date of birth.

"The SSC certificate did not contain the date of birth."

Attempt to Fix the Error

Dinesh quickly uploaded the correct certificate with the date of birth on September 22, 2025, and asked the university to consider him for counselling. Unfortunately, his request was ignored, leading him to file a formal complaint.

Court Proceedings

During the court hearing, the university's lawyer explained that the list of candidates who didn't qualify was uploaded on September 17, 2025, giving candidates two days to fix any issues. Dinesh's corrected certificate was submitted after this period, and the counselling rounds had already ended.

"The web options have already been closed and the counselling for A, B and C categories has also been closed."

Court's Decision

The court, led by Chief Justice Apresh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin, didn't make a decision on whether Dinesh's claim was right or wrong. Instead, they instructed Kaloji Nararayana Rao University of Health Sciences to review Dinesh's request within two days.

"The representation dated 22.09.2025 of the petitioner be considered by respondent No.2 within a period of two days."

What Happens Next?

The university must now decide on Dinesh's request quickly. This case highlights the importance of submitting applications on time and ensuring all information is correct.
