In a recent court decision, two teachers, Md Sarfroz Ahmed and Md Akmaluddin Ather, dropped their case against the State of Telangana and the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society. They were challenging their job transfers to different areas.
Md Sarfroz Ahmed and Md Akmaluddin Ather filed a complaint against the Telangana Public Employment Order, 2018, and a government rule from 2021. They argued that these rules were unfairly used to transfer them to different areas, which they believed was not right.
"The action proposed in pursuance of Telangana Public Employment Order, 2018 is illegal and arbitrary."
Md Sarfroz Ahmed and Md Akmaluddin Ather wanted the court to decide that the employment rules shouldn't apply to them. They felt that their transfers were unfair and wanted to stay in their current jobs.
The petitioners decided to drop their case. The court, led by Chief Justice Apresh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin, dismissed the complaint. There were no objections from the other side, and no costs were required to be paid.
With the case dismissed, Md Sarfroz Ahmed and Md Akmaluddin Ather will have to follow the transfer orders unless they choose to take other legal actions. The court closed any remaining applications related to this case.
