Let's break down a recent court decision that took place in the High Court of Madras involving a man named G. Murali. The court proceedings were overseen by the Honourable Mr. Justice A.D. Jagadish Chandira.
G. Murali, from Madurai, was previously found guilty in a case numbered C.C.No.3916 of 2009 by the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Egmore, Chennai. This happened on February 10, 2025. Murali decided to challenge this decision.
Murali took his case to the XIX Additional City Civil Court in Chennai. On October 13, 2025, the court agreed to pause his punishment. However, there was a condition. Murali had to provide a bond of Rs. 10,000 and two guarantors by October 27, 2025.
Murali faced a problem. He couldn't find two guarantors in time. So, he asked the court for more time to arrange them.
Justice A.D. Jagadish Chandira listened to Murali’s request. Considering that Murali had now arranged the guarantors, the court decided to give him more time. He was given two more weeks, until December 17, 2025, to present the guarantors.
"The petitioner shall produce the two guarantors on or before 17.12.2025."
Murali now has a chance to meet the court’s conditions and continue with his appeal.
