Sometimes, just being there is half the battle. In a recent court case, a petition was thrown out because the person who filed it didn't attend. Here's what happened.

No Show, No Case

In this case, Judge Vakiti Ramakrishna Reddy was in charge. The court had set the hearing for August 21, 2025. Unfortunately, the person who filed the case, Smt. Chirumamilla Swarnalatha, didn't show up. The court gave another chance by rescheduling for the next day.

"When this Writ Petition was listed on 21.08.2025, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner..."

Another Chance, Same Outcome

The person who filed the case had until August 22, 2025, to appear. Once again, Smt. Chirumamilla Swarnalatha didn't show up. The court noticed her absence and decided she wasn't interested in continuing with the case.

"...this matter was directed to be listed on 22.08.2025 under the caption ‘for dismissal’."

Dismissed for Not Following Through

With no other choice, Judge Vakiti Ramakrishna Reddy dismissed the case. The court decided that without the person who filed it being involved, the case couldn't go on.

"It seems that the petitioner is not interested to prosecute this case..."

No Costs Involved

The court also mentioned that there would be no order regarding costs, meaning neither side would have to pay court fees because of the dismissal.

"Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. There shall be no order as to costs."

In short, if you have a case in court, make sure to show up!
