Summary: In a case about illegal building, the court denied a nine-year-old request to question a key witness again. Judge Renuka Yara found no reason to reopen the case.
This case began when the people who filed the lawsuit, including G Chenchu Lakshmi, asked for the removal of illegal buildings in Ameerpet, Hyderabad. These buildings were reportedly put up by the people being sued, including N Anitha and N Saroja.
The people being sued were supposed to question a witness, P.W.1, but failed to do so many times. They missed their chance on several dates, such as November 27, 2014. Even after being given extra chances and having to pay a fine of Rs. 2,000, they still didn't show up.
"The people filing the revision request failed to question P.W.1 despite multiple delays," noted Judge Yara.
The people being sued waited nearly nine years before filing a request to cancel the earlier decision. They claimed it was important to question P.W.1 for a fair trial.
Judge Renuka Yara reviewed the case and noted that the people being sued had plenty of chances but did not take them. She mentioned that they seemed to be delaying the process on purpose.
"There are no valid reasons in the present revision requests," declared Judge Yara.
The court dismissed the revision requests and confirmed the previous decision. This case shows how important it is to act quickly in legal matters.
