Judge K. Sujana denied pre-arrest bail to Mr. Manmohan Singh, who was involved in a fight in Hyderabad. The case is about a disagreement that turned violent, causing serious injuries.
On July 14, 2025, a shop owner reported an incident involving Mr. Manmohan Singh. The shop owner and his friend, Mr. Vicky Singh, said they were threatened by Mr. Singh after they refused to join an illegal marijuana business. Later that night, there was a fight outside Mr. Singh's home, where Mr. Vicky Singh was attacked with iron rods.
"He would 'get back at them' when the chance came," said Mr. Manmohan Singh, according to the shop owner.
Mr. Manmohan Singh asked for pre-arrest bail, claiming he was wrongly accused because of business disagreements. His lawyer, Mr. A. Prabhakar Rao, argued that there were no clear accusations against him, and that his family depended on his earnings.
Mr. E. Ganesh, the Assistant Public Prosecutor, argued against the bail, pointing out the serious injuries caused to Mr. Vicky Singh. The prosecution said that Mr. Singh, along with others, was directly involved in the attack.
Judge K. Sujana noted the clear accusations against Mr. Manmohan Singh, who is the son of A.1, a person with a criminal record. Given the seriousness of the charges and no new evidence, the court decided not to grant bail.
"The petitioner is not eligible for bail," concluded Judge K. Sujana.
The court rejected the request for bail, keeping Mr. Manmohan Singh in jail. This case emphasizes the seriousness of the charges and the court's strict approach to violent crimes.
