In a recent decision, the court has given some relief to two petitioners, N Narasaiah and S Sushma, by pausing the deduction of money from their salaries. Let's break down what happened in this case.

The Loan Trouble

N Narasaiah and S Sushma were people who promised to pay back a loan if the main borrower couldn't. The loan was from M/s Shriram Chits India Pvt Limited. Unfortunately, the loan wasn't paid back, and they ended up in court because of it.

Court Orders Salary Deduction

On June 24, 2025, the court in Hyderabad, led by the I-Senior Civil Judge, ordered that money be taken from the petitioners' salaries. This meant that a part of their paycheck would be used to repay the loan.

"The court has ordered for the salary deduction of the petitioners."

Petitioners' Plea for Help

During the proceedings, the petitioners' lawyer argued that they could pay part of the debt right away and the rest soon after. They asked that their salaries not be deducted.

Judge P. Sam Koshy's Decision

Justice P. Sam Koshy listened to their request and decided to give them a chance. They were ordered to pay 50% of the debt within two weeks and the remaining 50% within four weeks. If they do this, the salary deduction order will be paused.

"If the petitioners pay 50% of the amount they owe... the order to deduct their salaries will be paused."

What Happens Next?

If the petitioners fail to pay the amounts as ordered, the original decision to deduct their salaries will automatically take effect. The court has closed the case unless the petitioners don't meet the payment conditions.

This decision gives the petitioners a chance to manage their finances without immediate salary deductions, but they need to act fast to meet the court's conditions.
