The High Court, led by Justice K. Lakshman, has ordered a fresh look into a land disagreement in Wanaparthy, Telangana. This decision affects several people involved, including local residents and government workers.

Background of the Case

A group of people, G Balraju, D Krishna, and D Nagamma, have been in a long-standing disagreement over land issues. The problem goes back to a series of earlier requests made by Gorla Shyam and others, challenging decisions from 2005, 2009, and 2019.

Previous Court Orders

In a previous decision on September 6, 2023, the court canceled an earlier decision and sent the case back to the Revenue Divisional Officer. The officer was told to reopen and investigate the case thoroughly, keeping the current state of the land the same until a new decision was made.

"The matter was sent back to conduct a detailed investigation and make new decisions," noted the court.

Appeals and Further Challenges

After the Revenue Divisional Officer's decision on May 17, 2024, an appeal was filed by Dyarapogu Venkatswamy and others. This led to another review by the Additional Collector, who changed the previous decision on April 24, 2025, and sent the case back again.

Petitioners’ Concerns

The people who started the case were worried about comments made by the Additional Collector regarding land flooding and survey numbers. They felt these were not in line with earlier court instructions.

Court's Latest Directive

Justice K. Lakshman directed the Revenue Divisional Officer to consider the court's previous order from September 6, 2023, while solving the issue. The officer is required to notify all people involved and make sure they have a chance to share their opinions.

"Respondent No.4 is to consider the common order of this Court... strictly according to the rules," stated Justice Lakshman.

The court ended the session by closing any remaining minor applications, emphasizing the need for a fair and lawful solution.

This case shows the complexities of land disagreements and the ongoing efforts to ensure fairness through repeated reviews and careful examination of all claims involved.
