Quick Summary: Mohd Mansoor, who owns a scrap warehouse, faced trouble when the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) decided to close his shop for allegedly using it the wrong way. The court, led by Judge Mini Pushkarna, listened to both sides and gave some clear instructions.

The Battle Begins: Notices from MCD

On November 3rd and 6th, 2025, Mohd Mansoor got notices from the MCD. They were planning to close his shop in Lajpat Nagar and take away his business license. Mansoor, who has been running his business for 20 years, argued that his license was valid until March 31, 2026.

"The person has a valid license from the MCD," Mansoor's lawyer emphasized.

Misuse Allegations: What MCD Found

The MCD claimed Mansoor was using his shop to trade plastic items, iron junk, and waste materials, which wasn't allowed. They pointed out that this went against the Master Plan of Delhi 2021. The MCD's lawyer, Ms. Ankita Sarangi, highlighted that junk shops (except for paper and glass) aren't allowed under mixed-use rules.

"The person was found to be using the place the wrong way," argued the MCD.

Mansoor's Defense: Ready to Comply

Mansoor's lawyer argued that he wasn't given a fair chance to explain himself. However, Mansoor was willing to follow the rules, promising to stick to them and pay any fees for using the shop the wrong way.

"The person is ready to promise to follow the rules," his lawyer stated.

Court's Decision: Follow the Rules

Judge Mini Pushkarna directed Mansoor to file a promise with the MCD, confirming he would use the shop as per the rules. Fees for using the shop the wrong way would be calculated and paid quickly. The court warned that if Mansoor didn't follow the rules, the MCD could take further action.

"The person is required to strictly follow any instructions," the court ordered.

Summary of Verdict

The court gave clear instructions and closed the case. Mansoor's business can continue, but only if he follows the guidelines set by the MCD. If he doesn't, the MCD has the right to take further action.
