Hey everyone! Something interesting happened at the Bombay High Court recently. Here's the scoop on a court decision that got postponed, and what it means.
On August 19, 2025, Judge M. M. Sathaye announced that the court would only handle cases until 12:30 PM that day. This unexpected change affected several cases that were supposed to be heard.
Because of the limited hours, a bunch of cases scheduled in the court's calendar couldn't be heard. These cases, specifically those numbered 46 to 62, were delayed to a later date. They'll now be heard on September 9, 2025, under the category of ABA matters.
"The same shall be adjourned as per dates/category mentioned in the chart."
For those worried about ongoing temporary protections, there's good news. Any temporary protection orders remain in effect until the next scheduled date. This means that the current protections stay in place for now.
"Interim/ad-interim protection, if any, to continue to till the next date."
The cases will be revisited on September 9. Until then, everything remains as it is, thanks to the temporary protections.
This decision shows how sometimes, even the court has to adjust its schedule, but it ensures that protections aren't lost in the process.
