In a case involving accusations of false complaints and money disputes, the court has made a decision requiring the accused to help with the investigation. Judge Tirumala Devi Eada was in charge of the case.
The people involved, Gujjeti Lavanya, Erumala Raghava, and Venchiryala Vasanth Reddy, were accused under certain rules of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, which relate to crimes that can be punished by less than seven years in jail.
The accused claimed that the accusations were not true. They said they had given a loan to the person complaining, Oraganti Yamini, who gave them a check in return. When the check bounced, they filed a case under a rule about bad checks. They believe the complaint against them is because of a grudge.
"The accusations are false and motivated by a previous grudge," said the accused's lawyer.
The government lawyer, Mr. Jithender Rao Veeramalla, pointed out that a similar case against one of the accused was previously settled by making a deal. This suggests a pattern of arguments between the parties.
Judge Tirumala Devi Eada told Gujjeti Lavanya, Erumala Raghava, and Venchiryala Vasanth Reddy to help with the investigation. They must meet with the Investigating Officer by September 6, 2025, and give all the necessary information and documents.
"The petitioners are directed to appear before the Investigating Officer and cooperate fully," the court ordered.
The court has closed the criminal petition with specific instructions for the accused to follow the investigation process. This decision stresses the importance of helping in legal matters and aims to make sure that justice is served fairly.
